Bereavement Support Groups for Adults

Joshua Tree: 1st & 3rd Thursdays 1:30-3:30 P.M. and 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Hospice office.
29 Palms: 1st and 3rd Wednesdays 10:00 - 11:30 A.M. in the Community Room of Pacific Western Bank, on the corner of Adobe Road and Gorgonio Ave.

Caregiver's Support Group

All caregivers in the community are welcome. 1st and 3rd Thursdays at the Hospice office from 9:30-11:30 A.M.

Children's Programs

Hospice offers a six-week Children's Bereavement Support Group twice every year at the Hospice office in Joshua Tree. In cooperation with the Morongo Unified School District, Hospice offers Children's Bereavement Support Groups in the schools. Our Children's Bereavement Program Coordinator, Dianne F. Swella, provides one-on-one or family support to help children in grief.

Support for Bereaved Parents

The Morongo Basin Chapter of The Compassionate Friends meets on the 2nd Wednesdays of each month, from 4:30 to 6:00 P.M at 61675 29 Palms Highway in Joshua Tree. Kristin Martin is the facilitator and Chapter President. Kristin is herself a bereaved parent. Community Education

Hospice offers Guest Speakers, a Loan Library, CareNotes, Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care forms.
